Launching of "Nakapag-Bingo ka na, Nakapag-Bonding pa ang Barkada" a success! 20 March 2009 by Alexander Z. Arcala (FCCS Auditor)
The initial post-election activity "Nakapag-Bingo ka na, Nakapag-Bonding pa ang Barkada" has drawn a crowd of more than two hundred Filipinos which is again beyond expectations. With a very limited time of only five days, the turnout is so inspiring, what with an almost sold-out Bingo Cards. A semi-Fiesta atmosphere has engulfed the place all throughout the day as the band played their pieces with gusto plus the sumptuous Filipino Foods like Adobo, Caldereta, Chicken Barbecue, Papaitan, etc. being laid down in the dining table and ready for the taking. Happiness and satisfaction can be seen from everybody's faces after watching the kids play in the parlor games and enjoying the pool; then feasting on the delicious foods prepared with labor of love by some of our generous Officers and members; and to cap it all playing Bingo with friends. Even some non-Filipino guests who were present during that activity have attested that they feel they really are in a community. The happiness are double for the lucky winners who brought home the Sony Bravia Home Theater System for the raffle and the Samsung 21" Slim TV. Just being a part of another momentous event, made everybody went home with smiles on their faces and with one common question in mind, "when will be the next time?" Once again, we have done it. We have shown to everyone that we can unite and make every undertaking a success. Together we have demonstrated a glimpse of that Bayanihan Spirit. And it all happened not just because of you and me, but because of US. See you in a lot more activities in the Future… *** |
