FCCS Unity Cup All-Filipino Basketball Tournament  (Picture Gallery)

With a very noble objective of uniting all the fun-loving Filipinos in Salalah, the organization initiated another activity which is among the passion of the nation – basketball.

The said tournament opened at the Oasis Sports Club in a simple opening rites:

It started with the parade of all the participating teams together with their respective muses and followed by the messages of Edmundo Sinforoso – President-elect of FCCS and of Jessie Genovatin- 1st Vice-President-elect respectively. Both speakers, imbibed sportsmanship, camaraderie, brotherhood and above all Unity among Filipinos here in Salalah as the main objective of this activity.

Haydran Orcullo, MVP of the last All-Filipino Basketball Tournament and team captain of Henderson Team, led the Oath of Sportsmanship. A ceremonial toss followed and the tournament is officially declared open.

Octal team finally barged into the win-column win an overtime cliffhanger win over GS thriller while Bloopers Team of Al-Safwa edged out Dae Myung Electrical in similar fashion.

The tournament is still midway thru the elimination round but basketball aficionados already feel the competitive atmosphere starting to heat up.
